I'll write more later tonight, but for the nonce, know that this trek, my fourth along the Four Rivers path, is now done!
Off to the Westin, where I hope to get a room on a Saturday. We'll see how that goes. Then dinner, the purchase of KTX tickets, and the fast ride back to Seoul. Another month well spent.
It is done. Congrats again! If the Westin is full, I'd recommend the Toyoko Inn Haeundae. Free breakfast and a cozy room for less than a hundred.
ReplyDeleteI tried a Toyoko by Busan Station once; they wouldn't let me check in until later in the day, and I'd have had to wait an extra two hours for that. So I went to a nearby motel that took me in immediately.
DeleteI offer up the following humble quote to memorialize your success. May this triumph be followed by many more in the years to come: There's just this for consolation: an hour here or there when our lives seem, against all odds and expectations, to burst open and give us everything we've ever imagined, though everyone but children (and perhaps even they) know these hours will inevitably be followed by others, far darker and more difficult. Still, we cherish the city, the morning; we hope, more than anything, for more. - The Hours (Michael Cunningham)
ReplyDeleteMeaty quote! Thanks.
DeleteCongratulations. It has been fun to vicariously follow along on your journey!! Brian
